Yves Gaudemet

Full Professor of Public Law at the Faculty of Law of the University Paris II - Panthéon-Assas.
He graduated from the Institute for Political Studies in Paris in 1968.

He has been teaching law since 1971 and was appointed full Professor at the Faculty of Law in 1972.

He has previously taught at the Faculty of Law of Rabat (1971-74), of Paris X-Nanterre (1974-76), of Paris V-Malakoff (1976-79) and Paris II - Panthéon-Assas (since 1979).

Former President of the “Section of Public Law” (1989-94) and of the University National Board (section of Law) (1994-2003). Of counsel to the cabinet of the Minister of University (1976-77 and 1986-87). Member of the “Conseil général des mines” (since 1980) and of the “Comité du contentieux” of the city of Paris (since 1985).

He has been President of the legal committee of the National Federation for Public Works; member of the superior committee for legal studies of the Principality of Monaco and of the French Committee of Unesco. He is President of the Institute for legal studies of Paris (Paris II).

He has held conferences and has taught in Morocco, Italy, Greece, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Costa d’Avorio, etc. Member of the French delegation to the Unesco General Conference held in Nairobi and Belgrado.

He is author of numerous books and articles on public law, economic law, administrative procedures an judicial review. Among the others: « Traité de droit administratif », vol.
